1. INTRODUCTION:

The sports business and event management of the Faculty of Sports Science - Ton Duc Thang University has been developed with 6 international standards: training programs, teaching staff, learning opportunities and real internship, study and research environment, facilities and international relationships.

Through 4 professional internship periods, 50% of high practical subjects, participating in organizing national and international events, receiving oversea scholarships, studying with expert lecturers international students after graduation completely meet the most stringent requirements from international employers.

2. TRAINING OBJECTIVES:

+ General objective: To have strong political ideas, wholeheartedly serve the country's socio-economic development; Has extensive and specialized expertise in the field of Sports Management: sports business, event management and sports communications; Mastering scientific research methods, critical thinking, independent creativity, self-learning ability and higher education; Good English speaking, listening and speaking skills (research, academic exchange, writing and presenting scientific reports / master theses).

+ Specific objectives:

Knowledge: Students have the capacity to organize, manage and run activities in the fields of Sports Business Management, Event Management and Sports Communication.

Skills: Ability to independently solve scientific research issues in the field of Sports Management.

On the attitude and professional ethics: fair, honest, noble; good health, spirit for the development of the community and people; positive attitude, hard work; high self-awareness, self-employment and research.

For foreign language: TOEIC certificate of International 550 points or more or equivalent international certificates.

Golf

Education program is referenced from the best Golf University in Korea with a lot of experienced experts and professors in the teaching staffs, as well as international top golf coaches. Students will be educated all the skills related to golf industry, like event organizing, administration capacity, management of facilities and equipment in gold courts, golf techniques as well as knowledge of golf training. Student will be trained in best condition of environment, court system with 3D technical analysis simulation room. Moreover, students are able to experience practically practicum course to build up advanced skills, support for job opportunities in the future.

Golf – The first time in Vietnam to be included in comprehensive training in both academic and technical at Sport Science department of Ton Duc Thang University. The training program is transferred and adjusted from a famous golf training university in Korea (ranked 397 in QS Word University Ranking and 69 in Asian University Ranking).

Teaching Staff: Specialist professors, leading coaches in the golf field, along with faculty members in many other fields

Facilities and Learning Environment:

Golf practice facilities like outdoor driving ranges and putting greens, physical training room system, golf simulator room. 4 courses to intern directly at golf courses nationwide..

 

After graduating:

Knowledge: Not only students gain the the general knowledge of political theory prescribed by the Ministry of Education but also equipped with knowledge of business management in the field of golf, golf practice management in combination with tourism, and organizations in general. Organizing practice and training activities, events and golf tournaments; educating, training and coaching golf or become professional golfers. Futhermore, students will gain an insight into the importance of the golf industry. Skills: During the program, students will be educated many skills in organizing as well as operating business activities, managing facilities and equipment in golf courses; organizing and operating golf tournaments. In addition, students also have many soft skills that necessary for the job, supporting good adaptation in the corporate working environment. Professional attitude and ethics: The program aims to train students with good moral qualities, especially ethics in the field of sports: fairness, honesty and nobility, with a spirit of community development, a positive attitude, a high sense of self-discipline, a sense of discipline and self-responsibility. Computer Skill: MOS International Certificate of Informatics (750 points) Foreign Language: IELTS 5.0 international certificate or other international English certificates of equivalent value.
