The Faculty of Sport Science organized "Enterprise Connection 2024"
On the afternoon of March 30, 2024, the Faculty of Sport Science (FSS) at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized the "Enterprise Connection 2024" event to celebrate its 7th anniversary since its establishment. The event was held in commemoration of the 78th anniversary of Vietnamese Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2024) and also to mark 7 years since the founding of the Faculty of Sports Science (March 27, 2017 - March 27, 2024).
This event was a gesture of appreciation to the valued business partners who have accompanied the Faculty over the years. The program aimed to expand collaborative relationships and strengthen the bond between the Faculty and enterprises in terms of education and human resource utilization.
The event was attended by Mr. Tang Khac Quy, Director of the Enterprise Cooperation Center and Alumnus of TDTU; Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Trung Hieu, Advisor to the Faculty of Sports Science; Dr. Nguyen Si Ha, Head of the Sports Management Department; and Professor Dr. Kai Pauling, specializing in Sports Management, along with representatives from over 30 partner-enterprises, as well as faculty members and students of the Faculty of Sports Science.
To kick off the program, Mr. Pham Thanh Anh Khoa - The person in Charge of the Faculty, shared achievements that the Faculty has accomplished in training, teaching, and scientific research. Additionally, there was a presentation summarizing the enterprise collaboration activities over the past 7 years by Ms. Nguyen Thoai Quynh Nhu, a lecturer at the Faculty of Sport Science and the officer in charge of enterprise collaboration.
During the interactive discussion session, representatives from partner enterprises engaged in direct exchanges and made valuable contributions related to student training. Through these discussions, the Faculty gained insights and practical suggestions to update and enhance the curriculum, aiming to improve the quality of teaching and better align with the practical needs of businesses. This exchange provided a foundation for the Faculty to incorporate industry-relevant knowledge into its educational programs, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the business sector.
In a special gesture, The New District Joint Stock Company, The New Gym, awarded a scholarship worth 5 million Vietnamese dong to Nguyen Hoang Mai Yen, a member of the Executive Committee of the TDTU Student Union, who achieved a Good academic ranking for three consecutive years and actively participated in community activities.
During the program, the Faculty also organized the signing of cooperation agreements with Vietsports Investment Corporation and the District 7 Sports and Cultural Center, promising new opportunities for students of the Faculty of Sports Science to study and experience a professional working environment. These partnerships will provide students with valuable hands-on learning experiences and exposure to the sports industry, enhancing their practical skills and knowledge in their field of study.
The program took place in a cheerful atmosphere and achieved considerable success in fostering friendly cooperative relationships between the Faculty/School and the participating enterprises.
